PALMER, Mrs. ANNETTE WILLIS
Born in Angelica of Arunah and Abigail de Neuville Willis in 1854; died in LaPush, Washington,
September 4, 1941, at the age of 87 years. Married to Solomon Palmer November 13, 1872, in Bakers 
Creek; he died in 1910. Mother of ten children , five of whom survive, daughter, Mrs. Maxfield, 
LaPush, Washington, sons, Ray Palmer, Forks, Washington, Hugh, Nanette, Washington; Lee of Ray, 
Arizona, and Leonard of Angelica. Burial in Angelica.

PALMER, CARL FAY
Son of the late Leonard and Lucy Walker  born in Angelica, September 25, 1884; died May 1, 1946. 
Employed on the Shawmut for over 40 years as an engineer. Survived by wife, Louise Palmer; two 
daughters, Mrs. Paul Williams of Wellsville and Mrs. Leighton Graham of Angelica; two sons, Edwin L. 
of Allentown, and Lawrence I. Of Angelica; two brothers, G. Ambrose Palmer of Angelica and Rolland

PALMER, Mrs. FAY POTTER
While putting her baby in a crib before an open gas stove, Mrs. Fay Palmer of Angelica caught her 
clothing on fire, Monday, and was so badly burned that she died on Tuesday, morning, April 7, 
1915.Mrs. Palmer was a young woman, 27 years of age, and was formerly Miss Pearl Potter of 
Friendship.

Born on March 19, 1855 in Angelica; died October 8, 1917. Married Lovinia Crawford July 4, 1875, who 
died April 1881; married November 8, 1882 to Miss Lucy J. Walker of Allen. Survivors: wife; sons, 
Ambrose, Fay, and Roland, Angelica; daughter, Mrs. Jesse Brandes died February 1914. A son, Leonard,

PALMER, LEONARD SOLOMON
Born in Angelica December 21, 1874, son of the late Solomon and Annette Willis Palmer; died June 16, 
1946. Warden since 1919 of Episcopal church, member of the Frank Sullivan Smith Memorial Band and the 
old Angelica Band which preceded it. Organized and was Scoutmaster of the first group of Scouts in 
Angelica. Clerical position on Shawmut for over 30 years. Survived by widow, Mrs. Maude Eldredge 
Palmer; son, Ronald L. Palmer of Macon, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Gertrude Maxfield of Port Angelise,

PALMER, RAYMOND
Died November 6, 1944 at the age of 35 years. Survived by widow: five children, James, Raymond, Jr.,

PALMER, SOLOMON S. 
Born 1851, the eldest of five children. Married Annette Willis November 13, 1872 in Bakers Creek. They 
had ten children. He spent some years as a carpenter in construction work in and near Angelica, and at 
one time also worked on railroad bridges in Pennsylvania. About 1900 he was made Street Commissioner 
for Angelica, a position he still held at the time of his death in 1910.	Lot 776

Son of Edgar and Lovinia Partridge, born at Bishopville, May 22, 1883; died September 23, 1940.

PATTERSON, DAVID
Born 1863 in Monaghan county, Ireland. He also lived in Galway, Ireland. At the early age of 13 he 
came to this country with his parents. In his younger years he worked for a number of farmers near 
Angelica. He later served as an engineer on the railroad, making his home in Bradford Pa.. After a few 
years he moved to Buffalo where he did construction work. While working as a construction foreman at 
the North Tonawanda Filtering Plant, he fell through a scaffold and was seriously injured. He injuries 
were such that he could not do any active work so he moved to Angelica to be near his friends and 
relatives.  He died February 9, 1924. Survivors: widow and four sons; sister, Mrs. Victor Thornton of 
this village and four brothers. Burial in Angelica cemetery

Died at his home on Tuesday evening, February 10, 1920 of epidemic influenza. Born in the town of 
Angelica on November 11, 1870 and made his home here all his life. His parents were Daniel W. and 
Henrietta Phippen. On February 6, 1907, he was united in marriage with Miss Grace Crawford, who, with 
one son, Edwin, survive  him, besides his mother, sister, and brother.	Lot 794

Died in the town of Ward, Saturday morning, after a lingering illness, of paralysis, Leonard Pierce, 
aged 66 years. The remains were taken to Angelica for interment, Sunday. Deceased was father to Frank 
Pierce, of this village. He for a number of years ran the shoe shop over the river, and was a

Came to  Angelica in 1801 from New Jersey. Was resident of the town for about 30 years, having been

August 25, 1884. In 1844, Mrs. Rumpff founded the Angelica Every Week. Mr. Rumpff died in 1924.
