Linda Schwind Memorial Page

Linda Schwind, our fellow genealogist and frequent contributer and supporter of the Allegany County, New York Genweb page helped many of us find our family and ancestors as a look-up volunteer and one who went the extra mile in answering many queries on the board and mailing list.  Linda contributed to many other forums, was a member of the Enchanted Mountains Genealogical Society where she would always volunteer to help do whatever needed doing.  The list is endless of the people she helped or the projects she worked on. She has indeed touched our hearts and our lives.

Linda Mary Williams Schwind, age 52, went to Heaven on February 20, 2001, Jacksonville, Florida.

Beloved and dedicated wife, mother and daughter loved forever and dearly missed is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ronald A. Schwind; three sons, Ronald K. Schwind, his wife Melissa and one granddaughter, Megan; Christopher C. Schwind and his wife Dana; and Michael C. Schwind, his wife Jennifer and the first grandchild/son, Tristen; Mother and Father, Mary and Knowles B. Williams; two Brothers, Richard Williams; and David William's and his wife Judy; Sister, Dorothy Simcoe and her husband Desider and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.

Linda, young at heart, loved genealogy and family history research of which she had been actively collecting the past 10-12 years on the family lines of Williams and Sprague and their descendants many of which were raised and lived in Western New York.  She had published these family histories and was still making more family connections, which was very rewarding in her life.  Her work continues now and forever as she has made the ultimate connection with the Lord.

We are eternally grateful for her Love and the Time we had with her.
