Allen C. Rogers Passes Suddenly At Black Creek.

Cuba, Sept. 2.-- Allen C. Rogers, seventy-nine years old, died suddenly at his home at Black Creek Wednesday afternoon death being caused by a stroke.  Mr. Rogers was standing by his automobile in the act of wiping off the windshield of the machine when he suddenly toppled to ground.

His granddaughter who had heard the motor of the car running for some time looked out of the wind to see him lying on the ground.  Examination disclosed that death had come quickly, Mr. Rogers passing away before aid could be administered.

Mr. Rogers was the eldest son of George D. and Sylvia Rogers and was born in the town of New Hudson, January 26, 1853.  He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ivan J. Osman, with whom he resided, Miss Sylvia Rogers a teacher in Highstown, N.J., schools, one son Harry Rogers, Hyde Park Mass., and a half-brother, C. S. Gay, Boston, Mass., besides several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Homer Evans, pastor of Cuba Methodist Episcopal Church in charge.

Mr. Rogers was the oldest member of Cuba Lodge, No. 306, Free and Accepted Masons who will have charge of commitment service at Black Creek Cemetery where burial will be made.
