Bela Bartlet was born at Bath, N.H. in 1800 and was the great-grandson of Josiah Bartlett, the signer of the Declaration of Independence. Bela when 14 became a solder of the War of 1812, and after the war, came first to Monroe Co., then to Warsaw, where he lived until 1832. He married Pamelia, daughter of Roderick Chapin. In 1832 he established himself as a cabinet maker and undertaker in Belmont, N.Y., and only retired from business on attaining 75 years of age. He died in 1880.
Alvin Burr, an early settler in Angelica, was one of the early lawyers of Allegany; md Anna Van Campen, daughter of Major Moses Van Campen.

Urian Davis was born in Glocester, RI in 1784, the son of Edward and Sarah (Walling) Davis. He was drafted in the War of 1812 at the town of Guilford in Chenango County, while a resident of nearby Otsego County. He served in a Company of Militia Commissioned by Captain Selic in a Regiment commanded by Colonel Belling. He moved from Otsego County to the town of Angelica about 1830. He died in 1878 and is buried in Angelica.

John Wetherby was born 23 Aug 1796 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He settled in Wirt in 1826, coming from Vermont. John was a farmer. He served in the War of 1812. John married Lucinda Maybee. The resided in Wellsville. The widow later resided in West Clarksville. John was the son of Michael Wetherby.
