William F. MADISON was born 19 Mar 1836 (conflicting records) in Portage, Livingston County NY, a son of Reuben Davis MADISON, b abt 1794 VT and Lucina CUMMINGS. On 31 August 1862 William F. MADISON age 26 enlisted in Caneadea NY in Company I, 160th NY Infantry Regiment. His service record listed him as: grey eyes, dark hair, complexion light, 6'3 1/2" tall, a blacksmith. William died 10 May 1912 in Oramel, in the town of Caneadea and is buried in the Oramel Cemetery; his wife Nellie d. 17 May 1939. Read more about William F. Madison.
