This cemetery is also known as the Wightman Cemetery.  It is on lot 11, town of Wirt.  This was the original Wightman farm taken up by Edward H Wightman, early settler and member of the first town Board.  He gave the land for the cemetery.  Edward and his wife Sarah A. Almy are buried in this cemetery but have no markers.  It contains about one acre, located on a town road leading east from County Route 8.  It is visible from Route 8, parts of which are known as the “Pleasant Valley Road.”
